Legal notice
Last updated: October 15, 2026.
1. Identifying information
In compliance with Spanish Act 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI-CE), the following is disclosed:
- Provider: Andrés Castillo (hereinafter “CASTILLO Maps” or “the Provider”).
- Website: https://castillomaps.com/
- Contact email: hola@castillomaps.com
- Activity: providing a Chrome extension and related web platform to search and organize information published on public Google Maps listings, with free and paid plans.
If you need a tax ID or address for invoices or to exercise your rights, request them at hola@castillomaps.com.
2. Purpose
This notice governs access to and use of the website, user accounts and the “CASTILLO Maps Scraper” extension (the “Extension”). Access or use means you accept this notice, the Privacy policy and, where applicable, the PRO subscription terms.
3. Service description
CASTILLO Maps provides tools to:
- Browse publicly visible Google Maps lists and listings from the user’s browser.
- Organize local lists (in the user’s Chrome) with data such as name, address, phone, website or other visible fields.
- Optionally visit the business’s public website to find an email or basic SEO data, if the user enables it and grants Chrome permissions.
- Help send email from the user’s own Gmail (the user sends with their Google account).
- Manage an account on castillomaps.com with Free or PRO plans, usage limits and, where applicable, billing via Stripe.
4. Terms of use and personal account
- The service is for users aged 18 or over.
- Each account is for personal, non-transferable use. Sharing credentials, giving access to others or concurrent use of one account by several people is prohibited.
- The Provider may suspend or cancel the account and/or PRO subscription, without pro‑rata refund except where required by law, if it detects sharing, abuse, fraud, unauthorized automation or breach of these terms or the law.
- The user is responsible for accurate registration data and for keeping their password safe.
- The user may delete their account from Your account, subject to limits if a paid subscription is active.
5. User responsibility for Google Maps, websites and email
- The Extension runs in the user’s browser and accesses information Google Maps or other sites show publicly. The user must follow Google’s and third-party terms and applicable law (including data protection and commercial communications rules).
- CASTILLO Maps does not send emails on the user’s behalf: they leave from the user’s Gmail. The user is responsible for content, recipients and having a lawful basis to contact them (legitimate interest, consent or another valid basis).
- The Provider does not guarantee accuracy, completeness or currency of data from Maps or third-party sites, nor continuous availability of Google Maps, Gmail, Chrome or Stripe.
6. Plans, pricing and payments
- Free and PRO plans have the limits published on the site. The Provider may change limits or prices; price changes for new sign-ups follow the Stripe Price ID in force.
- PRO payments are processed by Stripe. By paying, the user also accepts Stripe’s terms.
- Subscriptions can be managed or canceled from the account (“Manage subscription”). Cancellation stops future renewals; PRO access may continue until the end of the period already paid.
- Except where required by law or for a service defect attributable to the Provider, amounts already charged for periods used are non-refundable.
7. Service availability
The Provider aims to keep the site and API available, but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Outages, maintenance, third-party failures (hosting, Stripe, Google, Chrome) or force majeure may occur.
In case of temporary unavailability, the Provider is not liable for lost profits, lost business opportunities, local browser data or indirect damages. The user is responsible for exporting or backing up lists kept in Chrome.
8. Intellectual property
CASTILLO Maps design, text, marks and own code belong to the Provider or its licensors. Unauthorized reproduction or exploitation is prohibited. Business data belongs to its owners or source (e.g. Google); CASTILLO Maps does not claim ownership of that data.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law:
- The service is provided “as is” and “as available”.
- The Provider is not liable for how the user uses lists, emails or messages, nor for third-party claims arising from that use.
- The Provider’s total liability to the user for anything related to the paid service is limited to the amount the user paid the Provider in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing above limits mandatory consumer rights where they apply.
10. Links and third parties
The site may link to Google, Stripe, the Chrome Web Store or others. Those sites have their own terms and policies; the Provider does not control their content.
11. Data protection
Personal data processing is governed by the Privacy policy.
12. Changes
The Provider may update this notice. The version in force is the one published at this URL, with its update date. Continued use after a material change means acceptance, without prejudice to rights that cannot be waived.
13. Governing law and venue
This notice is governed by Spanish law. Except where mandatory rules say otherwise (e.g. consumers), the parties submit to the courts of the Provider’s domicile.
